Emma Willemse

As a happy-go-lucky, stylish woman, she is passionate about human rights, fashion, and justice. Originally from Knysna, Emma is living in Cape Town to peruse her dreams of becoming a human right lawyer.

The Leonora was inspired by two incredibly strong women, whom she deeply admires. The first being her grandmother, Leonora Botha, a graceful and effortlessly sophisticated woman who demanded respect simply by being who she was. The second is Leonora Van Den Heever, South Africa’s first female judge and the first woman to be appointed as a judge of the Supreme Court of Appeal. Both women were trailblazers and their memory goes to the essence of this bag.
