From day one ZEMP has worked towards creating a sustainable fashion brand, not only by recycling and repurposing waste within the office and our homes, but also by re-using shipping packaging to get your orders to you. We have worked from an early stage with our supplier to make sure our products are made in environmentally friendly facilities and in safe and socially responsible workplaces.
ZEMP was one of the first companies in South Africa and globally to use compostable courier satchels, underlining its leadership in sustainability.
Our factory has undergone the BSCI certification process and our tannery follows protocols that have a negligible environmental impact, protecting workers and consumers. Those who have followed us since our Jinger Jack origins will notice we’ve opted to return to our signature turquoise lining, now introduced in the form of Global Organic Textile Standard (GOTS) certified organic cotton.
Sustainability is hard to achieve, as goalposts are consistently pushed to higher levels. Our promise to our loyal customers is to continuously improve in all aspects of sustainability.

Eco-Friendly Leathers and Organic Cotton Lining
Natural dyes are used for our turquoise, certified organic cotton lining and all our leathers are vegetable tanned in certified tanneries with minimal water consumption.
Social Responsibility
We formed long term relationships with our suppliers who care about their staff as we do. Our factory is BSCI certified and ensures high social compliance standards are met.
